I have been told today that Murcia Furniture Planners have filed for bankruptcy. Obviously this may create problems for anyone who may have outstanding orders and those who may be considering a purchase with them.
I have no evidence for this news but completely trust my source of this information.

Las Islas - building & rumours
Many thanks to the Godfather for the following photos. The first couple show the start of building work on Las Islas.
The Godfather and Dave Mol paid Polaris World a visit and were told that there are only 4 blocks being built on the larger island at present. What is not clear yet is which of the blocks is being built - i.e. the block numbers - so that we will know whether or not our apartments are being built.
I intend to call with PW when I am over in August and see if I can shed some light on this.
The guys tried to find you what the old house & the town centre will be but there is still no definite plan - not that we are being told about anyway - so the rumours will persist until some info is released. Again I will ask the questions in August.
The Old House now has a roof in place over which I expect they will lay roof tiles. I appears from the photo that there will be an internal courtyard.
The godfather also discovered that there are plans to build further phases - more penthouse types, some the horseshoe type apartment blocks as at Phase 1 and also some of the type below which have been built at Condado:
That is as much as I can tell you at present other than that I am planning to meet up with to of the people who follow this blog when I am over in August - David & Clive - and I look forward to that.
Having been over a couple of weeks ago we took a couple of days up in Valencia (about a two & three quarter hour drive) and thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go back. For anyone interested I have a slide show of some photos from Valencia on my rental website spanishholidayhome.org
In August we are going down to Granada for a few days, I've always fancied a look at the Alhambra & Granada's old Arab quarter. I believe it is about 3 hours drive time.

New Feature
The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed a new feature - the links bar.
I have put a link to my own website - SpanishHolidayHome.org - through which I rent my La Torre property - if anyone is looking for a place to stay before their own Terrazas home is ready I will give a 10% discount if this blog is mentioned.
More importantly there is a very good new blog about what is on in the area which has been started by Sam from Murcia Golf Property. She has very quickly established a tremendously detailed listing for everything of interest to visitors to our corner of Spain. I would urge anyone going over to have a look at Sam's blog which currently lists events far & wide up to the first week in August when last I looked.
I think it is a terrific resource and I hope it is well supported.
I will add further links as and when I find sites of interest.

Disappointing news
I'm afraid that for the first time ever I didn't make it to Terrazas and just arrived back to Ireland today.
Had a mixed trip over, our kids joined us for a very busy week but our property managers let us down badly and we had to spend a lot of time getting replacements in place and cleaning up our house for renters arriving today.
Ho Hum - such is life. Back over again in 3 weeks and looking forward to meeting one of the regulars here and walking the course to get an update, see you then David.
In the meantime any news or photos welcome.
